Née à Homburg-Sarre en Allemagne, Janine Kortz réside et travaille à Cachan depuis 2020. Formée à l’école nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, dans les ateliers Cesar-Duffau et Lebel-Georgeon, Janine a participé à de nombreuses résidences, symposia et expositions internationales en Chine, Egypte, Portugal,Italie, Burkina Faso, Canada, Azerbaidjan, ...
Imprégnée de ces voyages et découvertes, son langage sculptural construit et reconstruit une vision architecturale et spatiale du monde.
Sa recherche se tourne vers la création de sculptures fontaines, en céramique et en pierre.
Crée des œuvres liturgiques pour l’art sacré: le baptistère de Église Notre dame de la Pentecôte à La Défense en 2000 et un autel et ambon pour l’église St Bruno à Issy-les-Moulineaux en 2016. Ce travail se poursuit actuellement dans la création de monuments funéraires.

Janine Kortz is born in Homburg-Saarland in Germany, she lives and works currently in Cachan. She attended the diploma of fine arts in the academy of fine arts in Paris and a master of arts at Paris University. Since, she participates regularly in exhibitions internationaly, and travels around the world for sculptorsymposia and residencies in China, Portugal, Italy, Egypt, Syria, Burkina Faso, Canada, Azerbaidjan, ...
Deeply impressed by her travels and discovers, she constructs and reconstructs her sculptural language by an architectural and spatial vision of the world.
Her research focuses also on the creation of fountain sculptures, in ceramic and stone. Creates liturgical works for sacred art: a baptistery for the Church of Notre Dame de la Pentecôte at La Défense in 2000, an altar and ambo for the Church of St Bruno at Issy-les-Moulineaux in 2016. This work is currently continuing in the creation of funerary monuments.

Geboren wurde die Künstlerin Janine Kortz in Homburg-Saar, heute lebt und arbeitet sie in Cachan. Sie hat an der Kunstakademie in Paris studiert und das Studium mit dem Diplom superieur des arts plastique absolviert, danach hat sie einen Magister der plastischen Künste an der Université Paris VIII gemacht. Janine stellt seitdem international aus und nimmt an zahlreichen Bildhauersymposien teil (China, Ägypten, Portugal, italien, Burkina Faso, Kanada, Aserbaidschan, ...
Geprägt durch die Reisen und die Erfahrung anderer Kulturen, konstruiert sie ihr Wissen und ihre künstlerische Welt. Ihre Formensprache entwächst einer architektonischen und räumlichen Sicht der Welt.

Beschäftigt sich mit der Gestaltung von Brunnenskulpturen aus Keramik und Stein, kreiert liturgische Werke für sakrale Kunst: ein Baptisterium für die Kirche Notre Dame de la Pentecôte in La Défense im Jahr 2000, einen Altar und einen Ambo für die Kirche St. Bruno in Issy-les-Moulineaux 2016. Diese Arbeit wird derzeit mit der Schaffung von Grabdenkmälern fortgesetzt.
